He collected money from his employees and friends and gave part of his salary. He signed the letter 'God' so that Lencho would believe that God had answered his prayer and sent the money.

How does the poet Frost present nature in the poem 'Dust of Snow'?
OR
What is the theme of the poem 'The Trees'?

However, in the poem, these agents of nature bring joy and change the poet's mood from sad to happy. He highlights that even negative aspects of nature can have a positive impact on us.

Answer: The poem 'The Trees' by Adrienne Rich highlights the conflict between man and nature. Humans have confined nature (trees) inside their homes for decoration. But nature cannot be imprisoned forever. The trees struggle to break free from the house and move back to their natural habitat, the forest. It symbolizes the victory of nature over man's attempt to control it.

He valued education and Anil's friendship more than the stolen money. He felt that robbing a simple and trusting man like Anil was not right.

Answer: Matilda's dissatisfaction, vanity, and desire for luxury were the causes of her ruin. She was born into a poor family but dreamed of riches. She borrowed a diamond necklace to show off at a party but lost it. To replace it, she and her husband borrowed huge money and spent ten years in poverty paying off the debt, only to find out the necklace was fake.

Q.5. Attempt any one of the following long compositions in about 120 words: (4 Marks)
(A) Write an article on 'Health is Wealth'.
OR
(B) Write a report on the 'Annual Function' of your school.
OR
(C) Prepare a speech on 'Save Water'.
Health is Wealth

The famous proverb "Health is Wealth" means that health is the most valuable asset a person can possess. A healthy person can work hard and achieve success, whereas a sick person becomes a burden on others. Money can buy medicines but not health. Therefore, maintaining good health should be our priority.

To stay healthy, one must follow a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get adequate sleep. We should avoid junk food and bad habits like smoking and drinking. Mental health is equally important; meditation and yoga help in reducing stress.

In conclusion, a healthy body houses a healthy mind. If we lose wealth, we lose nothing; if we lose health, we lose something; but if we lose character, we lose everything. So, let us pledge to keep ourselves fit and healthy.

Annual Function at Sandipani Vidyalaya
(By: Cultural Secretary)

Barwani, 10th January 2026: The Annual Function of Sandipani Vidyalaya was celebrated yesterday with great pomp and show. The school building was decorated with lights and flowers. The District Collector was the Chief Guest of the function.

The program started with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. The Principal presented the annual report of the school. Students performed various cultural programs like folk dances, skits, and songs. The play on 'Swachh Bharat' was highly appreciated by the audience.

The Chief Guest gave away prizes to the meritorious students in academics and sports. In his speech, he praised the performance of the students and the efforts of the teachers. The function ended with the National Anthem.

Save Water, Save Life

Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends. Today, I want to speak on the topic 'Save Water'. Water is the most precious gift of nature. Life on earth is impossible without water. It is used for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and agriculture.

However, water is becoming scarce due to overpopulation, pollution, and wastage. Many parts of the world are facing acute water shortage. If we do not save water now, our future generations will suffer. We must adopt methods like rainwater harvesting and stop wasting water in our daily activities.

Let us take a pledge today to use water wisely. Remember, "Every drop counts." Saving water is saving life. Thank you.
