Launched in 2015, its main objective is to ensure that government services are made available to citizens electronically by improving online infrastructure.

The initiative focuses on three core areas: digital infrastructure as a core utility to every citizen, governance and services on demand, and digital empowerment of citizens. It promotes cashless transactions, e-education, and e-health services. The spread of high-speed internet in rural areas is a key part of this mission.

Digital India has made life easier and more transparent. From booking tickets to paying bills, everything is now at our fingertips. However, challenges like cyber security and digital illiteracy need to be addressed to make it a complete success.
